If it weren’t for my spontaneous and stubborn school mates, I would have just stayed home and be reading myself to sleep. And so, they pulled up right infront of my house and as usual, dragged me out.
It’s to watch the Malaysia International Fireworks Competition and today’s special because it’s our country’s National Day. You’d be an idiot to not bring your camera and tripod along 
right? Right!
Japan’s on that night.
The show started at exactly 12 midnight and it lasted for 30 mins.
We arrived before 10am and I discovered more than half my mates were all quite high from Vodka & were singing “spider pig” (from The Simpsons Movie) & “Ice Ice Baby” (by the then Vanilla Ice) on the streets while cam-whoring. (what?!?) Hahahah!!! We hung around in Cyberjaya and played all kinds of dumbass games in which if you loose, you drink and drink and drink.
By 11.15pm, the entire main road/highway in Cyberjaya was jam packed with cars. We double-parked and walked all the way to the Lake (15-20 mins?), carrying our cameras, tripods and… ofcourse, the Vodka bottles! There weren’t any place else to stand and I got myself a stable spot infront of a drain (crap!).
The show was awesome! All around the Lakeside, it was full of spectators! Everyone was oooh-ing and waaaah-ing away for that 30 mins while it lasted. I thought it was worth the watch 
If you were watching it in Putrajaya, upclose at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC), you’d have to pay a fee of RM 34 (?)! Damn. No wonder Cyberjaya side’s packed like sardines. Even the highway’s parked full of cars. Not that it bothered us, I was only concerned about the long exposure I’ve to deal with without a remote.
Once it was over, we took our time, hung around the Lake area, took pictures, poor Puffy blacked-out halfway during the show so we fussed over her, then walked back to the car, jammed our way back to one of our mate’s office, and camped in there until near 4am before we decided to get home And they played basketball too! At 2am! Crazy~! thank god I was not working the next day!
