As the driver spoke to me about the best possible route, I was on the phone with one named Zul, who was giving me directions on how to get to the Kampung Pelegong Homestay. All my guests at the back of the van must have been skeptical about the whole direction thing and I didn’t want to waste their time any more than I did mine. A mix from Japan, Finland and Denmark, all 5 of them had had a long week in Borneo and this was their last destination for their ‘homestay’ inspection program. The main highlight in today's group tour was the visit to the SkyBridge of the Petronas Twin Towers.
Now, getting the ticket is a hassle since one has to wake very early in order to queue for the tickets. If you plan to visit tomorrow, you will have to get the tickets tomorrow – no advance bookings are entertained. Tickets are free though, so usually, tourists wouldn't bother much about the part of having to queue up early for it. So I woke very early in order to stand in line for almost an hour to finally get tickets for 8 persons (myself included). The visit to the KLCC SkyBridge starts at 0900 hours, but a line of visitors are usually there before the counter is open by 0830 hours.
I have seen many tourists coming in the afternoon, only to be frustrated that the tickets are out for the day. This is because the management limits about 1500 visitors everyday. So once it's out, it's out. Read the rest of this entry »
