There is a permanent smell of pigeon droppings, bat guano and soaked monkeys about this holy place. No escaping it. And most of all, you’re going to sweat a lot here. Wonder why? You’ll know when you’ll see the stairs.
Since Malaysia’s mountainous regions are mostly made out of limestone, this one is no different. Listed as part of a country tour, the Batu Caves is about 30 minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur.
